Apple Peach Crumble

One of my favorite pies to make is a Caramelized Apple Peach Pie. I needed to whip up a quick dessert and thought I would try making it into a Crumble. With its sweet, caramelized apple and peach filling and crumbly topping it is a comforting dessert that is most definitely a crowd pleaser! It is the perfect dessert for any time of year but even better during fresh peach and apple season. Serve it warm and bubbling from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a memorable, easy dessert! Crumble Topping 1 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup brown sugar light or dark 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 8 tablespoons unsalted butter melted Filling 6 cups of Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced or diced into bite sized pieces 2 cups of Peaches, peeled, sliced or diced into bite sized pieces ¾ cup granulated sugar or brown sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons corn starch or all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Instructions -Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray an 8 or 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. Crumble Topping -In a medium bowl combine all-purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Whisk to combine. -Add the melted butter and stir with a fork until crumbly. Prepare Filling -In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch (or flour if using) and ground cinnamon. -Transfer apple mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer. -Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly over the top of the filling. -Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown on top. -Let cool for 15 minutes before serving with ice cream or homemade sweetened Whipped Cream if desired. Enjoy
