Imperial Twins

April 1 to September 30th is Blue Crab season on the Chesapeake Bay. Both Personal and Commercial Crab traps hit the water to catch this delicacy. Locals and Restaurants alike will serve up their favorite recipes. Imperial Twins is one of those recipes. It’s great for brunch or as a light dinner.

Imperial Twins


I LB Jumbo Lump Crab

1 tsp Dry Mustard

1 Egg

1tsp Parsley Flakes

3 tablespoon Melted Butter

2 tablespoon Mayo

½ tsp Worchestershire Sauce

½ tsp Lemon Juice

4 English Muffins – Cut in half

2 Medium sized Tomato Sliced ½ inch thick


Mix ingredients together. Cut English muffins in half and place on a baking sheet. Top each Muffin half with a slice of tomato. Top each tomato slice with the crab mixture (Divided evenly amongst the 8 muffins – about ½ cup per muffin. Sprinkle each muffin with paprika and place in the oven. Bake at 375 Degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until hot and Bubbly.
